LIGHT DUTY DRIVER

Job Purpose:
To ensure the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods, supplies, and equipment between designated bays, departments, and stakeholders within the EKFC facility, supporting smooth supply chain and logistics operations while maintaining vehicle safety, hygiene, and compliance with UAE traffic and ramp safety regulations.

Key Result Areas:
Observe and comply with applicable speed limits and ramp safety regulations with respect to the vehicle fleet size and report any health and safety hazards or operational risks or vehicle breakdowns to the immediate supervisor.
Assist in conducting drive tests on new vehicles and report any operational issues for corrective action.
Ensure vehicles are loaded correctly to avoid potential accidents caused by shifting loads, maintaining balance and safety during transit within the Company facility.
Identify alternate routes within the Company facility and use prudent judgment in planning sequences to reduce time, improve operational efficiency, and optimize fuel consumption.
Maintain accurate daily trip sheets and provide necessary transportation and delivery data to the Operations Assistant or relevant supervisor.
Conduct pick up, delivery and return of processed items, goods, and supplies internally to and from designated bays, departments, and stakeholders as per the requests, ensuring timely and accurate fulfilment to support and guide colleagues during loading and unloading activities.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of assigned vehicles in line with company Occupational Health & Safety standards to ensure fleet readiness and prevent contamination of transported items.
Interact with internal stakeholders professionally, providing courteous and effective support for all logistics and supply chain operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:
Education Qualification:
a) High School Certificate, valid UAE License for Light Duty vehicles (must have manual license)

Work Experience:
a) Minimum 2 years of experience as a driver, preferably in logistics, catering, or supply chain operations.

Skills:
a) Safe driving skills.

b) Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and handling procedures.
