Light Vehicle Driver

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver food items to designated locations.
• Ensure timely delivery while following assigned routes and schedules.
• Handle, load, and unload food products carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
• Maintain proper temperature controls for chilled or frozen items (if applicable).
• Verify delivery orders, collect signatures, and return delivery documentation.
• Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and report any mechanical issues.
• Follow all traffic laws and company driving policies.
• Assist in warehouse or kitchen staff duties when required (e.g., packing, sorting).
• Uphold food safety and hygiene procedures during transportation.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and store staff.

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (car/van/truck).
• Prior delivery driving experience (preferably in the food or logistics sector).
• Good knowledge of local routes and GPS navigation.
• Ability to lift and move moderate-weight items.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of food safety for handling and transporting perishables.
• Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail.
