Light Vehicle Driver

Job Summary

A Light Vehicle Driver is responsible for safely operating light motor vehicles to transport passengers, staff, or goods to designated locations. The driver must follow traffic laws, maintain the vehicle in good condition, and ensure timely delivery or transportation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely drive light vehicles to transport employees, clients, or goods.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
  • Plan routes and ensure timely arrival at destinations.
  • Perform regular vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, water, tires, brakes).
  • Keep the vehicle clean and well maintained.
  • Report accidents, damages, or mechanical problems immediately.
  • Maintain vehicle logbooks and trip records.
  • Assist with loading and unloading items when required.

Requirements

  • Valid Light Vehicle Driving License.
  • Proven experience as a driver.
  • Good knowledge of local routes and traffic rules.
  • Ability to read maps or use GPS navigation.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Responsible, punctual, and trustworthy.

Education & Experience

  • High school certificate or equivalent (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of driving experience.

Working Conditions

  • May require long driving hours.
  • Flexible working hours including weekends or evenings if required.
