Light Vehicle Driver

A Light Vehicle Driver is responsible for safely operating light motor vehicles (cars, vans, pickup trucks) to transport passengers, staff, or goods from one location to another. The driver must follow traffic laws, maintain the vehicle in good condition, and ensure timely and safe transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive company light vehicles safely to transport staff, visitors, or materials.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules for pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure passengers or goods reach their destination on time.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, brakes, lights, tires).
• Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the vehicle.
• Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Report accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle problems immediately.
• Keep records of trips, fuel usage, mileage, and maintenance.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary.
• Use GPS or navigation systems to plan routes efficiently.

Requirements

• Valid light vehicle driving license.
• Good knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations.
• Minimum 1–2 years driving experience preferred.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours if required.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with GPS and navigation apps.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Good customer service and professional behavior.

Work Conditions

• Long hours of driving may be required.
• Exposure to traffic and varying weather conditions.
