Lighting Control Programmer

We are looking for a skilled Lighting Control Programmer to design, program, and commission lighting control systems across a range of projects including commercial buildings, museums, theme parks, and architectural installations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of lighting control protocols and hands-on experience in system integration and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, configure, and commission lighting control systems (DMX, DALI, KNX, sACN, Art-Net, etc.)
• Develop and implement lighting scenes, dynamic effects, timelines, and show control sequences
• Interpret lighting design intent and translate it into functional control logic
• Integrate lighting systems with AV systems, BMS, show control, and third-party interfaces
• Perform addressing, patching, and fixture configuration for all controlled lighting systems
• Operate and program lighting consoles such as GrandMA, Avolites, Hog, or similar platforms
• Develop cue stacks, chases, and live playback configurations using lighting consoles
• Carry out on-site testing, troubleshooting, and fault rectification during installation and commissioning
• Conduct system optimization to ensure smooth performance and synchronization
• Support mock-ups and demonstrate lighting effects to consultants and clients
• Prepare, review, and update technical documentation including:

o Control schematics

o Network architecture

o Patch lists and addressing schedules

o O&M manuals

• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues
• Review shop drawings and submittals related to lighting control systems
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards
• Perform FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing)
• Provide on-site supervision during installation of control systems
• Troubleshoot communication protocols and network-related issues (DMX faults, IP conflicts, etc.)
• Configure and manage control hardware such as processors, gateways, and interfaces
• Assist in selection and evaluation of control equipment and system architecture during design stage
• Provide training sessions and handover support to clients and facility management teams
• Support maintenance teams post-handover for system updates and troubleshooting
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines
• Maintain backups of control programs and ensure version control

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Proven experience in lighting control programming and commissioning
• Strong knowledge of DMX, DALI, KNX, sACN, Art-Net
• Hands-on experience with lighting consoles such as grandMA, Avolites, and Hog
• Experience with systems such as Pharos, ETC, Lutron, Madrix, or similar
• Ability to read and interpret lighting and control schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Willingness to travel for site works

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in museums, theme park, facades, or architectural lighting projects
• Knowledge of time-based and interactive lighting systems
• Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, VLANs, switching)
• Experience with show control systems and integration platforms

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ﷼12,000.00 - ﷼15,000.00 per month
