Lighting Designer

KGM Architectural Lighting is looking for a talented Architectural Lighting Designer with 3–5 years of experience to join our El Segundo team. You’ll collaborate with top architects and interior designers on commercial, hospitality, and residential projects—helping shape everything from boutique hotels and restaurants to workplaces and custom residences.

Have a background in Architecture or Interior Design but limited lighting experience?
If you bring the design skills, we’ll teach you the lighting.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop innovative interior and exterior lighting concepts from sketch to final documentation
• Plan and implement lighting systems, fixture schedules, and control strategies
• Explore and analyze daylighting opportunities and energy-efficient solutions that are both beautiful and practical
• Collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, and project teams to meet design goals, budgets, and timelines
• Produce clear, accurate documentationusing 2D/3D modeling and BIM tools

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years’ experience in architectural lighting design
• Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Illustrator, and LightSpec
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and landscape plans
• A curious, creative problem-solver with a sharp eye for detail
• Confident communicator who is comfortable in client and consultant meetings

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
