Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Draftsman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing lighting shop drawings, electrical layouts, coordination drawings, and technical documentation for lighting projects. The role requires strong AutoCAD skills and a good understanding of electrical and lighting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare lighting layout drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Develop electrical and low-current drawings as required by project specifications.
• Coordinate with sales engineers, project engineers, consultants, and contractors.
• Prepare lighting fixture schedules and load calculations.
• Review architectural, electrical, and MEP drawings for coordination purposes.
• Produce detailed installation drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Prepare material take-offs and BOQs from project drawings.
• Revise drawings based on consultant comments and site requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing revision records.
• Assist the technical and project teams during project execution.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman in the UAE.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Experience in lighting projects, MEP coordination, and shop drawings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Dialux Evo is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with architectural and façade lighting projects.
• Familiarity with UAE electrical standards and project requirements.
• Knowledge of lighting control systems, drivers, and LED lighting products.
• Experience working with consultants and contractors in the UAE market.
