Structural AutoCAD Draftsman / Structural Coordinator

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Structural Draftsman with strong AutoCAD skills and prefer to have practical knowledge of structural steel and metal works used in interior fit-out projects. The candidate should be capable of preparing structural shop drawings, performing basic structural calculations, coordinating with engineers and site teams, and supporting the engineering department during fabrication and installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings for steel and metal fabrication.
• Produce fabrication drawings
• Develop installation drawings for site execution.
• Coordinate structural drawings with architectural and MEP drawings.
• Perform basic structural calculations for small and medium steel structures under the supervision of the engineer.
• Assist in preparing engineering calculation reports.
• Coordinate with fabrication workshops regarding production requirements.
• Coordinate with site engineers to resolve installation issues.
• Attend site visits for measurements and technical support.
• Review consultant comments and revise drawings accordingly.
• Prepare material take-offs and cutting lists.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and relevant design standards.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 5 years in AutoCAD drafting with structural background
• Experience in interior fit-out projects.
• Prefer experience in Structural steel calculations and details
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD (Advanced)
• Ability to prepare fabrication drawings
• Understanding of fabrication detailing
• Ability to perform basic structural calculations
• Familiarity with:
• Experience with structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or IDEA StatiCa) is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Microsoft office for engineering calculations and works
