Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished and commercially driven Lighting Sales Manager with a strong background in managing medium and large-scale lighting projects across Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have well-established relationships with engineering consultants, main contractors, and end clients, and will be capable of leading a sales team while personally driving key account development. You will take ownership of the full project sales cycle — from early specification influence through to order closure and delivery coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy

Develop and execute a structured sales strategy for lighting projects aligned with the company's annual revenue targets and growth objectives.

Lead, mentor, and manage the lighting sales team, setting individual targets and conducting regular performance reviews.

Report weekly and monthly project pipeline status and sales performance directly to the Managing Director.
Client & Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain long-term relationships with key engineering consultants, MEP contractors, main contractors, interior designers, and project owners across Kuwait.

Conduct regular client visits, site surveys, and design-stage meetings to influence lighting specifications in favour of the company's portfolio.

Act as a senior point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.
Technical & Commercial Sales

Prepare and present detailed technical proposals, lighting design concepts, and commercial quotations tailored to project requirements and budgets.

Review tender documents, BOQs, and consultant specifications to ensure correct product selection and full compliance.

Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and supply agreements with clients, contractors, and manufacturers to close orders profitably.

Collaborate with manufacturer representatives and technical teams to deliver customised lighting solutions, mock-ups, and value-engineering alternatives.
Project Execution & Coordination

Oversee order handling, delivery scheduling, and documentation (product data sheets, photometric reports, warranties, and certifications) to ensure on-time project delivery.

Monitor active projects to ensure alignment with client timelines, budget constraints, and technical specifications.

Resolve post-sale technical issues and coordinate with suppliers to manage warranties, replacements, and site support.
Market Intelligence & Business Development

Identify and pursue new project opportunities in commercial, hospitality, retail, government, healthcare, and infrastructure segments across Kuwait.

Conduct ongoing market research to track competitor activity, new project awards, and emerging lighting technology trends.

Evaluate and expand the company's lighting product portfolio in response to market demand and project requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline (preferred).

Minimum 8 years of lighting project sales experience in Kuwait, with a demonstrated track record of managing medium and large-scale projects from specification to delivery.

Strong existing network of relationships with engineering consultants, MEP contractors, and procurement decision-makers in the Kuwait market.

Proficiency in lighting design and calculation software (DIALux, Relux, or equivalent) is a strong advantage.

Solid commercial acumen with experience in tender preparation, BOQ analysis, and contract negotiation.

Prior experience in a managerial or team-lead sales capacity.

Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English

Valid Kuwait driving licence; must be based in Kuwait with a transferable residency visa.
