Line Cook

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
• Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new ideas and ensuring ingredient availability for daily specials
• Follow food safety guidelines diligently to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
• Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service in a timely manner during busy periods
• Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or food industry setting
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
• Experience working in family diners or high-quality food service environments is preferred
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail
• Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
• Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
