Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic food service operation, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared efficiently and safely. Prior experience in fine dining, catering, or the food industry is highly valued, along with a strong understanding of food safety standards and meal presentation. This position is essential for delivering exceptional dining experiences and maintaining our reputation for culinary excellence.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Assist with menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure timely service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
  • Ensure all food safety regulations are followed during food preparation and service
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other utensils
  • Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple orders simultaneously
  • Assist with plating dishes attractively for presentation in line with restaurant standards
  • Contribute to inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the culinary team

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a dietary aide in a restaurant or food service environment
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
  • Experience with menu planning, catering, or fine dining is preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • A passion for culinary arts and delivering high-quality dishes to guests

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
