Line Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to Michelin standards, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, takes direction well and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Assist in preparation and ensure all food handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and cooking appliances.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
• Help with Preparation for Dinner Service.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the food industry.
• Teaching the next group of young chefs to be hired
• Responsible for showing up 15 minutes early
• Clean and wrinkle free uniform
• Responsible for your station being stocked and ready before service
• Sense of Urgency

Requirements

• Previous experienice in a fast-paced restaurant cooking on the line or catering environment is preferred.
• 3+Years minimum Experience with French Cuisine
• 3+ Years minimum Experience with Fine Dining
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• A passion for cooking and commitment to delivering high-quality meals.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
