Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting new ideas and seasonal specials to keep offerings fresh and exciting
• Handle food with care, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
• Use knife skills and culinary techniques to chop, slice, cook, and assemble dishes efficiently
• Support food preparation activities for catering events or large orders, maintaining high standards of presentation
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations
• Maintain proper food handling procedures during meal preparation, serving, and storage to prevent contamination

Requirements

• Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary needs and meal modifications
• Proven restaurant or kitchen experience in the food industry, showcasing strong culinary skills including cooking, food handling, and meal preparation
• Knowledge of menu planning, food safety practices, and catering operations is preferred
• Excellent knife skills coupled with the ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality
• Ability to stand for extended periods while performing physically demanding tasks in a busy kitchen environment
• Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills for effective collaboration during peak hours
