Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes that meet our standards for excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
  • Assist in menu planning and development, offering creative ideas for seasonal dishes
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed
  • Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high-quality food service

Skills

  • Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within fine dining or restaurant settings
  • Strong food preparation skills with an emphasis on cooking techniques and knife skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling
  • Experience in menu planning and meal preparation is highly desirable
  • Background in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff
  • A passion for the food industry and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
