Duties

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items efficiently while maintaining consistency and quality standards
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines to ensure customer satisfaction
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes or improvements based on ingredient availability and customer preferences
• Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols at all times
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and utensils throughout shifts
• Support food service operations by coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Participate in catering events or special functions as needed, ensuring all meals are prepared to specifications

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, with a strong foundation in kitchen operations
• Demonstrated culinary skills including knife techniques, food preparation, and cooking methods
• Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service logistics
