Line Cook

West Coast Taco bar is expanding and opening a new ghost kitchen operation in Midtown Sacramento. We are looking for dependable, hardworking line cooks who take pride in serving high quality food in a fast paced environment.

In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes with precision and ensuring every plate meets our high standards of quality and presentation.

Duties

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and safety regulations at all times.
• Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and plating to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils to uphold health standards and ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service during busy hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food service environment such as restaurants, catering, or food industry roles is highly desirable.
• Strong culinary skills including knife proficiency, cooking techniques, and meal preparation expertise.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prior experience with food industry standards, or kitchen experience will be advantageous.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
