Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
- Adhere to food handling and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with health codes.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Participate in catering events as needed, providing exceptional food service.
Skills
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of dietary aide practices and dietary department operations is a plus.
- Strong knife skills for efficient food handling and preparation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
