We are seeking a dynamic, professional Line Cook to join our team at Cambria Plymouth. This is a Part Time position located in Cambria, MA. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding our high standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and service.


Work Performed

As part of the back of house team, the Line Cook is responsible for helping the Executive Chef and other kitchen team members plan, prepare and produce all food items. Must be able to carry out the production of all dishes according to the prescribed recipes and specifications and ensure that the portion size and quality of the dishes are in line with the hotel’s standards.

  • Prepare high-quality food items to order while exceeding guests’ expectations by following recipe, temperature, and presentation guidelines
  • Ensure special guest requests are accommodated with any specific/allergy information while delivering the same high-quality standards
  • Coordinate food orders to support timely and efficient delivery to the table
  • Handle and store food in a safe and sanitary manner in accordance with sanitation codes
  • Set up, break down, and clean cook areas, including but not limited to steam table, sandwich cooler, reach-ins, grill & broiler area, fryolators, salad sections, and sink basins
  • Prepare meals in accordance with established portion and quality control standards
  • Prepare and controls food usage in order to minimize waste and control food costs
  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that meet or exceed the state and local health board inspection and brand standards. One ServSafe employee must be on staff at all times.
  • Advise the Executive Chef of low inventory items and performs receiving and inventory duties as specified
  • Responsible for complying with appropriate meal checklist, rotating foods properly while maintaining an adequate supply of needed products for next shift
  • Prepares food for banquets as specified by function contracts
  • Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
  • Assist dishwasher as needed
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2 or more full years employment experience in a related position
  • 1 year in restaurant experience
  • Must be able to work onsite at the hotel location
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Hours required: Part Time 25-30 hours per week for shifts PM (Evening); Must be flexible; Weekends; Holidays
  • Knowledge of kitchen and restaurant safety and emergency procedures
  • Ability to work well with others (i.e. interacts appropriately with guests and staff)
  • Ability to follow instructions, complete tasks safely and efficiently, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to maintain speed in meal production while ensuring high quality food
  • Ability to follow safety policies and procedures and immediately report injuries to their manager or manager on duty

Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities

  • Culinary arts education preferred

Compensation

$20 Hourly
