Line Cook/Prep Cook

Babe’s is hiring! We are looking for a professional line to cook to prepare menu items in our scratch kitchen. Line cook duties include set up and sanitation of station, prepping food items to specification and ensure standards at achieved. Must be able to work at a fast pace and follow directions well.

• Set up and stock station for service
• Prepare food (e.g. chopping and cooking vegetables, preparing sauces, butchering meat for service, and help create the daily special.)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with rest of kitchen staff
• Ensure food comes out correctly and simultaneously
• Assist with the cleaning and organization of the kitchen and equipment
• Able to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Ability to work the grill, sauté, flattop, and fryer
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Great work environment
• Actively communicate with Chef or manager on duty regarding stock levels or changes
• Adhere to sanitations and health standards
• Serve-safe Certified a plus
• 1 year experience in a scratch kitchen preferred

This position will require:

• Frequent lifting (up to 40lbs)
• Standing up to 100% of the shift
• Frequent bending, stooping, and turning

Hours: Part/Full time, evening and weekends required
