Linen Room Assistant - Contractual role until December 2025

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

To operate and be actively engaged in the Main/Sub Linen Room activities, ensuring the efficient inventory flow of linen items and issuance to facilitate the operations of client departments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To process the laundry, the removal of soiled linen items, and their delivery after cleaning by check listing, taking records, and carrying out quantity and quality checks.
  • Conduct the Midyear and Year-end Linen Inventories in order to enable the unit to provide equipment reorder advice to client departments.
  • To ensure the timely preparation and release of all ordered linen equipment in line with the EBMS/online Requisition Specifications and Predetermined Timelines.
  • To regularly update all inventory transactions (EBMS & Excel-based) between the unit, client departments, and laundry contractors to ensure that informed requests based on correct inventories are routed through the system.
  • Assist the department in receiving, coding, storing, and issuing newly produced uniforms and maintain records of issuance.
  • To ensure the work station and its outside surroundings’ cleanliness, the neatness arrangement of stored linen items and equipment is maintained.
  • To operate the laundry equipment (Washing/Dry cleaning Machines, Dryers & Pressers in carrying out daily in-house laundering of linen items.
  • To timely report any discrepancies in issued/exited and returned/delivered linen items to enable the unit to prepare the discrepancy report(s) for prompt sharing with owner departments for appropriate recovery actions.
  • Other duties as needed or required, and deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
  • Must be willing to undertake Outside Catering (OSC) assignments as required and based on client departments’ requests.
