Contract opportunity: Project Development Lawyer – Abu Dhabi


Re:link, Linklaters’ contract lawyer platform, is looking for a highly skilled project development lawyer to support a major Linklaters client in Abu Dhabi on a contract basis. In this interim opportunity you will have a central role in the delivery of high-profile infrastructure and energy projects. As a trusted adviser, you will

  • Advise on, draft, and negotiate a diverse range of project contracts, including engineering, procurement, construction, operations and maintenance, and joint venture agreements,
  • Guide clients through complex project finance processes, including conducting due diligence and collaborating closely with lenders,
  • Navigate regulatory compliance matters and manage all permits and authorisations required to progress projects,
  • Proactively identify and manage legal risks at every stage of the project lifecycle,
  • Work seamlessly alongside internal technical, commercial, and legal teams, as well as with external counsel and stakeholders


We welcome applications from lawyers who have:

  • A minimum of six years’ post-qualification experience in project development or infrastructure
  • A track record gained at a top-tier law firm or through equivalent in-house roles or secondments
  • The legal right to work in the United Arab Emirates
  • A current, valid practising certificate
  • The ability to work on site in Abu Dhabi at least three days per week, with flexibility to work remotely for two days
