Linux and Data Center Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator & NOC Engineer to support and manage mission-critical colocation infrastructure. The role involves 24/7 monitoring, Linux system administration, network troubleshooting, customer support for hosted infrastructure, and ensuring SLA compliance within a Tier III–style data center environment.

This position requires strong technical expertise, rapid incident response capability, and hands-on experience in colocation and enterprise hosting environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL/CentOS).

• Kernel tuning, GRUB management, and system boot troubleshooting.

• File system management (LVM, ext4, XFS) and repair.

• Patch management and OS upgrades.

• Package version control and dependency management.

• System performance tuning and resource optimization.

• Configure VLANs, trunk ports, and bonding.

• Manage IP addressing and routing basics.

• Firewall configuration (iptables / nftables).

• DNS configuration and troubleshooting.

• Diagnose packet loss, latency, and connectivity issues.

• Support client cross-connect and ISP integration.

• Basic administration of MySQL / PostgreSQL.

• Mail server management (Sendmail/Postfix/POP/IMAP).

• Performance monitoring and troubleshooting.

• Manage KVM / VMware / Proxmox / OLVM environments.

• VM provisioning and lifecycle management.

• Storage integration (SAN/NAS/iSCSI).

• Support on-premises cloud infrastructure.

• Port scanning and vulnerability assessment.

• Log monitoring and intrusion detection.

• Perform restore validation and DR drills.

• Ensure redundancy and high availability standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• 3+ years experience in Linux administration.

• Experience in Data Center or Colocation environment.

• Strong TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.

• Understanding of VLAN, trunking, firewall concepts.

• Experience in 24/7 NOC or shift-based operations.

• Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills.

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month
