Linux and Windows System Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Linux and Windows System Administrator with around 3 years of hands-on experience in managing, maintaining, and securing enterprise-level IT systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security across both Linux and Windows environments.

Responsibilities

* Install, configure, and maintain Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) and Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) operating systems.

* Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and User Access Controls.

* Implement and maintain server security, including firewalls, antivirus, and system patching.

* Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of hardware/software issues.

* Handle backup and recovery procedures, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.

* Configure and manage virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.

* Support and manage network services like NFS, Samba, FTP, SSH, and IIS/Apache web servers.

* Ensure system documentation and change management processes are up to date.

* Collaborate with developers, QA, and network engineers to ensure seamless infrastructure operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

* Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Linux and Windows administration.

* Proficiency in Bash and PowerShell scripting.

* Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.

* Experience with system backup tools (e.g., Veeam, Acronis, rsync) and monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana).

* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) will be an added advantage.

* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
