Linux OS administrator

We are looking for a skilled Linux OS Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of Linux-based systems, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and availability.

The ideal candidate has strong experience managing enterprise Linux environments, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar).
• Perform system monitoring, tuning, and performance optimization tasks.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Ensure security best practices are implemented, including patch management and vulnerability mitigation.
• Automate routine tasks using shell scripting or configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues related to Linux servers.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Monitor system logs and respond to alerts promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and support applications on Linux platforms.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of system configurations and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and file systems.
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.).
• Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls).
• Experience with virtualization and cloud platforms is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Linux+) are preferred.
