Literacy Instruction Associate

Location: Karachi

Education: Master’s degree in Education, Literacy, Curriculum Development, or a related field.

Experience: Candidates must have 7–10 years of experience in literacy or education programs, preferably at the primary level, with expertise in curriculum development and instructional design.

Job Description:

• Lead and coordinate the development of a Grade 1 literacy instruction package in Urdu including student books and teacher guides.
• Facilitate the formation and management of a Curriculum Development Committee (CDC) composed of literacy and education experts.
• Assist the CDC in development and adaptation of literacy instructional materials and training modules to align with the Pakistani curriculum and multilingual context.
• Ensure timely development of student and teacher materials.
• Oversee the review and adaptation of training and coaching tools for effective delivery at scale.
• Support the development of student progress tracking and assessment tools.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Room to Read, government education departments, and other stakeholders for literacy program coordination.
• Monitor project progress against timelines and deliverables; lead documentation, reporting, and donor updates.
• Assist with logistical coordination for workshops, including identifying venues, arranging for transportation, etc.
• Contribute to sustainability planning and scaling strategies in collaboration with government partners.

• Fluency in English and Urdu is required; knowledge of regional languages and willingness to travel across Pakistan are added advantages.

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
