Literacy & Reading Coach

Egypt Education Platform is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Literacy & Reading Coach to join our dynamic team at Westview International Language School. This role is pivotal in enhancing literacy practices within our school and supporting educators in delivering effective reading instruction across all grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers to assess students' literacy needs and implement strategies to improve their reading skills and comprehension.
• Create and facilitate professional development workshops focused on best practices in literacy and reading instruction.
• Monitor student progress through data analysis and provide tailored support and interventions for struggling readers.
• Design engaging literacy programs and resources that promote a love for reading and accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Support the implementation of school-wide literacy initiatives and curricula to enhance student learning experiences.
• Engage with families to promote literacy practices at home, providing resources and strategies for supporting reading development.
• Stay updated on current research and trends in literacy education and share insights with faculty and staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Literacy, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in literacy or reading instruction.
• Prior experience as a literacy coach or in a similar instructional support role is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of literacy development and effective teaching practices tailored to diverse learners.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, educators, and parents.
• Ability to analyze assessment data and develop targeted strategies for improvement.
• Passion for fostering a love of reading and supporting student achievement in literacy.
