We are seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our growing team. This role is primarily remote, but candidates should expect that occasional in-office and on-the-road time will be required as needed.

Responsibilities

As a nursing home injury litigator at Eadie Law, you’ll work closely with senior attorneys and litigation staff to manage plaintiff-side nursing home injury cases. Responsibilities include:

  • Helping to craft and then executing litigation plans to drive cases towards settlement and trial.
  • Strategizing, preparing for, and taking depositions of nursing home staff, management, corporate representatives, treating doctors, and others.
  • Working with experts (doctors, nurses, therapists, etc.) to secure reports and prepare for deposition and trial.
  • With lead trial counsel, help try cases to verdict.
  • Preparing clients to confidently tell their story in deposition and at trial.
  • Helping move cases toward resolution through trial or settlement.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts with precision.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients while advocating for their best interests.
  • Prepare for trials by organizing evidence, developing case strategies, and collaborating with other attorneys and legal staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of case files and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation affecting various areas of practice including securities law and tribal law & regulations.

Experience

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Ohio state bar association; active license to practice law (additional licenses in PA, KY, or WV are a plus).
  • Some litigation experience (exposure to depositions, motion practice, or discovery preferred).
  • Strong interest in courtroom advocacy and trial work.
  • Willingness to learn our systems, accept coaching, and continuously improve.
  • Tech-comfortable — everything we do is paperless and cloud-based.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in legal writing and drafting; ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Previous experience in a law office setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.   • Base salary starting at $75,000 (commensurate with experience).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
