Litigation Attorney

Overview - Admission to the Texas State Bar is REQUIRED.
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various areas of law, including but not limited to construction law, personal injury, and insurance defense. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, a commitment to client advocacy, and the ability to conduct thorough legal research. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in court and other legal proceedings, providing sound legal advice, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in litigation matters across various legal areas within insurance defense.
• Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis AI+ to support case preparation.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts with precision.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients while striving for favorable outcomes.
• Prepare for trial, depositions, and hearings by organizing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and formulating case strategies;
• Maintain accurate records of all case-related activities and communications within the law office.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members to ensure efficient case management.

Experience

• Admission to the Texas State Bar is REQUIRED.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 2-5 years of litigation experience.
• Proven experience in litigation with a strong understanding of court procedures and rules.
• Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation.
• Excellent research abilities with proficiency in legal research databases such as LexisNexis AI+
• Prior insurance defense experience is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
