Litigation Attorney

We are a prestigious mid-size law firm in Suffolk County seeking a Litigation Attorney with 4+ years of experience to join our dedicated, client-focused team of legal professionals. Responsibilities:

• Handling all aspects of discovery
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Draft and argue motions
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Draft a wide range of legal documents
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings and trials
• Develop case strategies with the help of experienced colleagues
• Communicate regularly with clients and opposing counsel
• Represent clients in alternative dispute resolution, including mediations, settlement conferences and arbitrations
• Negotiate settlements
• Prepare for trial, including witness preparation, preparing exhibits for trial and drafting pre-trial motions
• Reviewing and analyzing legal documents, such as contracts, agreements and insurance policies

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in New York
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment
