Litigation Attorney

O’Connor & Battle, LLP, is a litigation defense firm specializing in civil rights, medical malpractice, insurance defense and general litigation. We have a fun, collegial atmosphere, and are seeking an attorney to be a part of our growing team. Travel to various courts throughout the state is required at times. We enjoy practicing law and, whenever possible, we try cases!

The ideal candidate has strong professional credentials and the desire to represent defendants throughout the state in civil litigation ranging from soft tissue injuries to wrongful death claims and reverse conviction matters. You must be able to learn quickly in a fast paced environment, be able to work independently, and possess excellent writing skills. Further, the ideal candidate must have strong advocacy skills, as well as the desire to litigate cases, settle cases and, when necessary, try cases.

Candidate will handle court calls, motions, depositions, meetings with clients, meetings with expert witnesses, and serve as trial counsel in cases with significant exposure. You will have every opportunity to grow and develop your skills through hands on experience.

You must be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and have the ability to commute to downtown Chicago, as well as throughout the state when necessary. A hybrid work arrangement is available after an orientation period.

Salary commensurate with experience and skill set. Compensation package and potential bonuses competitive.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
