The Opportunity
- Title: Litigation Associate (Public Law)
- Salary: 140,000–190,000 USD (DOE)
- Location: California (Remote / Hybrid; must be willing to relocate to CA)
- Level: 3–8 years’ litigation experience
What You’ll Do
- Support partners and senior attorneys across all phases of civil litigation: case assessment, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial prep.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and draft high-quality memoranda on key legal issues.
- Manage deadlines and ensure procedural compliance.
- Engage directly with clients and witnesses, including interviews, prep, depositions, and mediations.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–8 years of litigation experience with a clear focus on public law.
- Experience from a City Attorney’s office or a firm handling public law work is essential.
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; minimum 3.0 GPA if under 5 years’ practice.
- Active California State Bar membership.
- Outstanding writing, research, and analytical skills, plus enthusiasm for public law and a collegial, fast-paced environment.
