Litigation Attorney
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Starting Salary: $100,000–$120,000 (based on experience

Position Overview
As a Litigation Attorney at The Advocates, you will play a key role within our litigation team. You’ll collaborate closely with legal assistants, coordinators, and other team members to evaluate cases, guide clients, and represent them throughout the litigation process.
What You’ll Do
Client Interaction
Communicate with clients via phone, text, email, and in-person meetings.
Offer legal counsel on case value, strategies, and expectations.
Litigation & Case Management
Represent clients during hearings, depositions, arbitration, mediation, and trial.
Draft, prepare, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
Negotiate with opposing counsel to secure maximum value for personal injury cases.
Tech-Driven Efficiency
Utilize our firm’s legal technology to:
Organize and track litigation tasks and case stages.
Maintain clear communication within our structured internal systems.
What to Expect
Multitasking & Prioritization
Manage a high-volume litigation caseload with strong attention to deadlines and statutes.
Evaluate cases thoroughly to identify key issues and outline litigation strategy.
Litigation & Evaluation
Litigate cases that were not resolved during pre-litigation.
Analyze case strengths, weaknesses, liability, and potential trial value.
Building Relationships
Build and maintain relationships with attorneys across Iowa and Nebraska for potential referrals.
Team Collaboration
Participate in firm-wide meetings, trainings, and events.
Work closely with legal coordinators and support staff to ensure streamlined case flow.
Statute Adherence
Track deadlines and statutes carefully to ensure compliance and protect client interests.
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in both Nebraska and Iowa (required).
Minimum 2+ years of litigation experience; personal injury litigation preferred.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis.
