Des Moines, United States
A nationally recognized, multi-office defense firm is seeking a Partner-level Litigation Attorney to join its Des Moines office. This role is designed for an accomplished litigator with 7+ years of tort and complex litigation experience, proven first-chair trial expertise, and the ability to mentor and supervise junior attorneys.
In addition to handling a diverse docket of matters—including personal injury, products liability, construction defect, employment disputes, and commercial litigation—the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to serve as General Litigation Practice Group Leader, overseeing attorneys across Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois. This leadership role combines hands-on trial advocacy with strategic practice management and client development.
The firm represents a wide range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies and insurance carriers to municipalities, healthcare providers, and mid-sized businesses. The position offers a competitive compensation package (base salary beginning at $150,000+, with bonus potential), hybrid work flexibility, and a full suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer contribution, and generous PTO. A portable book of business is welcome but not required.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a litigator who values both courtroom advocacy and leadership, and who is interested in shaping the future of a growing general litigation practice.
