Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our personal injury firm. We have grown at a tremendous rate over our 10 year history with 7 attorneys and 30 employees. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting complex litigation cases across a variety of practice areas, including wrongful death, trucking accidents, and motor vehicle accidents. Your expertise will help streamline case management, facilitate legal research, and ensure the accuracy and organization of vital legal documents. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a remote role with only some office time required.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation including case preparation, discovery, document review, and trial support.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies.
- Manage and organize case files utilizing document management systems .
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, contracts, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Review and analyze large volumes of documents for relevance and privilege
- Interview clients, witnesses, experts, and other stakeholders to gather pertinent information for ongoing cases.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars for attorneys, handling phone inquiries with professionalism, and providing executive administrative support when needed.
- Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines; prepare exhibits for court filings; proofread all documents thoroughly before submission.
Qualifications
- Must have experience in personal injury litigation
- Strong knowledge of legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with legal case management software
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear legal documents; proofreading and transcription skills are highly valued.
- Experience with document review processes and familiarity with contract analysis is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed legal research and maintain meticulous records while adhering to deadlines. Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
