Litigation Paralegal

Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic civil litigation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support complex litigation cases across various practice areas, including tort, civil rights, administrative law, and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, research and drafting abilities, and a proactive approach to case management. As a vital member of our team, you will assist attorneys in preparing cases, managing documents and medical records, conducting research, and ensuring smooth litigation processes from inception to resolution. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation by organizing and reviewing legal documents using document management systems such as Everlaw, Sage, Advologix, and LexisNexis.
  • Draft and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Manage case files efficiently through document review, data entry, filing, and maintaining meticulous records in legal case management systems.
  • Support litigation activities by coordinating depositions, interviews, and court filings while ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Perform administrative tasks including scheduling meetings, managing calendars for attorneys, handling phone etiquette professionally, and providing executive administrative support as needed.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant with familiarity in litigation procedures.
  • Proficiency in document review, legal drafting, proofreading, transcription services, and contract preparation.
  • Experience with document management systems is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Effective interviewing skills for client or witness interviews; strong phone etiquette is required.
  • Ability to handle clerical responsibilities including data entry, filing systems (both physical and electronic), and general administrative support.
  • Knowledge of project management principles relevant to legal workflows.

Pay: $53,853.62 - $64,855.98 per year
