Litigation Paralegal- local firm

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Mass Tort Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized professional with strong attention to detail and experience supporting attorneys in complex litigation matters. This position requires prior experience in the legal field, as our office does not offer entry-level training for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with drafting and formatting legal documents, including Complaints, Discovery, Motions, and Subpoenas
• Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents for accuracy and clarity
• Coordinate and e-file pleadings and other filings in State and Federal courts
• Maintain familiarity with PACER, CM/ECF, and Federal civil procedure
• Oversee service of process and track completion
• Utilize document management systems (Filevine) to organize and maintain electronic case files
• Request, organize, and summarize medical records
• Prepare and review correspondence with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
• Answer phone calls and take messages with professional etiquette
• Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing files
• Perform clerical tasks including photocopying, scanning, faxing, and data entry

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of experience as a paralegal; mass tort or personal injury experience strongly preferred
• College degree or associate degree preferred
• If no degree, must have a paralegal certificate or equivalent relevant experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with document management systems and file organization

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail in proofreading and editing
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Salary Range:
• $60,000 – $70,000 (commensurate with experience)
