Live-In Mother’s Helper & Creative Assistant Opportunity

(Central Florida- Ocala)

Position Overview: Private room, meals, and utilities included in exchange for 20–25 hours per week of mother’s helper support, plus optional paid teaching and creative opportunities.

We are a Christian family with five children, 1 small dog, and a pet bird seeking a caring, dependable female live-in mother’s helper to help with daily routines, household support, and occasional childcare.

My husband travels frequently for work and may be away for up to 10 days at a time, so we are looking for someone who can provide an extra set of hands and the peace of mind that comes with having another trusted adult in the home.

In addition to helping with our family, there may be optional paid opportunities through our microschool for teaching music, singing, dance, preschool, and other enrichment classes based on your experience and interests.

As a bonus, our family is actively involved in music, publishing, and media projects, and we are building a small creative space in our garage. The right candidate will have access to this space during the day for their own work and may have opportunities to collaborate on various creative projects.

What We’re Offering

• Private bedroom
• Meals, utilities, and Wi-Fi included
• Room and board in exchange for approximately 20–25 hours of help per week
• Typical support hours:
• Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–8:30 AM
• Monday–Friday: 5:30 PM–8:30 PM
• Daytime hours generally free from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing you to work another job, attend classes, or focus on personal projects
• Optional paid opportunities through our microschool
• Access to our home creative office space for your own creative projects
• Optional opportunities to collaborate on music, publishing, and media projects

Mother’s Helper Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

• Helping with morning routines and getting the children ready for school
• Meal prep and kitchen cleanup (mostly evenings)
• Laundry and light household support (morning or night)
• Assisting with evening routines and bedtime
• Occasional babysitting (additional paid hours may be available)

Optional Paid Opportunities Through Our Microschool

Depending on your experience, there may be paid opportunities in areas such as:

• Nursery or Pre-K classroom support
• Music and choir instruction
• Piano, guitar, or singing lessons
• Dance classes
• Creative arts and enrichment classes

Additional Details

• We are ideally seeking someone interested in a longer-term arrangement of at least 6–12 months.
• Applicants must be willing to provide personal and/or professional references.
• Final candidates will be required to complete a background check.
• Because this is a live-in role within our family home, we are seeking a female candidate.
• We may also be open to considering a candidate with one young child, depending on the child’s age, temperament, and overall fit. Or the option for a mother with shared custody whose child would stay with her part-time and be comfortable sharing the private bedroom provided.
