East Texas Nannies is seeking a dependable, warm, and experienced Live-In Nanny to support a single father with two young children in a structured, part-time live-in role. This is a rewarding opportunity to create a nurturing, organized, and engaging environment for children while becoming a trusted presence in the home.

Schedule

This position follows a rotating bi-weekly schedule:

• Week A: Thursday evening through Monday morning
• Week B: Thursday evening through Saturday morning

Candidates may live in full-time or reside in the home only during scheduled working days.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, positive, and organized caregiver who brings a calm and steady presence to the home. The ideal candidate is passionate about childcare, experienced with toddlers and young children, and committed to fostering a safe, structured, and loving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate care for young children (toddlers and preschool-aged)
• Safely drive children to activities, school, and outings
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children
• Assist with daily routines including dressing, bathing, naps, and playtime
• Manage and maintain consistent bedtime routines
• Sleep with a baby monitor and respond if children wake during the night
• Engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
• Ensure strong pool safety awareness and supervision at all times
• Prepare children’s clothing and items for the following day
• Maintain a clean and organized environment (children’s laundry, tidying toys, etc.)
• Keep children laundry clean and put away
• Stay informed on weekend schedules and proactively communicate updates with dad
• Follow all safety protocols and respond calmly in emergency situations

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of professional childcare experience
• Experience caring for toddlers and young children
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Clean driving record
• Ability to live in during scheduled shifts (option to live in full-time if desired)
• Comfortable around dogs
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate activities preferred

Compensation:
$52,000 per year
