THE JOB

The Director of Latin Communications will be responsible for helping manage and execute Live Nation Concerts’ Latin touring strategy, both nationally and locally, to help drive ticket sales as well as support the company’s growing roster of Latin and other touring artists. This person will be an integral part of helping Latin and touring artists announce and promote their tours & shows, as well as supporting a variety of tours to get coverage in Spanish-language outlets. The Director of Latin Communications will also work collaboratively with teams across the Concerts division to strategically tell stories and help amplify & support Live Nation’s Latin and touring business goals year-round. This role reports to the VP Global Touring Communications for Live Nation Concerts.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Manage national and local tour press for Latin and other touring artists, including touring artist press initiatives as needed
  • Support trade & industry press communications, including touring features and success stories, as well as executive-facing press, including award submissions, interviews, statements, and features on behalf of our Latin touring executives
  • Develop new and maintain key existing relationships with Latin press as well as Anglo press, especially with national media outlets, as well as local media in key tour markets
  • Manage incoming national and local media inquiries & requests, including approved responses, statements, and interviews on behalf of Live Nation’s Latin touring artists as well as executives
  • Draft and distribute press materials nationally and locally as needed, including press releases, tour & show alerts, pitches, artist interview schedules, talking points, and more
  • Pitch, secure, and manage press opportunities and interviews for touring talent with national and local media as needed, including managing press days, junkets, and conferences
  • Manage press highlights and generate reports as needed for touring initiatives
  • Gather and create plans for national and local support, including social forward coverage including social media, social editorial, podcasts & celebrity influencers
  • Build and outline creative ideas on how to tell our Latin touring business story, both nationally and locally
  • Keep a pulse on the latest media moves, new press opportunities, and emerging media publications & platforms
  • Deliver a great experience to external contacts when working with our PR & Comms team - you will represent our brand and will be our liaison internally and externally
  • Management of the Latin PR support role provides guidance and oversight to ensure professional performance and growth

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Must have strong relationships within the Latin Entertainment Industry
  • Experience in communicating, pitching, and securing national media required
  • Good eye for detail, writing ability, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work day, evening, and weekend hours, based on the needs of daily business operations, plus travel as needed
  • Ability to multitask several projects while meeting assigned deadlines
  • Interested in the music business with leadership ability and strong organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.) as well as Google Drive, including Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets
  • Understanding of social media, social editorial, and influencer landscape
  • Previous experience using Trendkite, Muckrack, and Critical Mention a plus

The expected compensation for this position is:

$132,000.00 USD - $165,000.00 USD

** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
