Loading Dock Equipment Installer

About the Role

As a Loading Dock Equipment Installer, you will travel to customer sites to install, assemble, and commission a full range of dock equipment — including dock levelers, vehicle restraints, dock shelters, control boxes, and sectional doors. You will work closely with a skilled installation crew, taking on a variety of tasks from mechanical assembly and mounting to basic wiring and final equipment testing. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will directly impact the safety and performance of every installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and assemble dock equipment including levelers, vehicle restraints, dock shelters, control boxes, and sectional doors.
• Perform basic electrical wiring tasks to support equipment installation, including connecting control boxes and low-voltage components.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and installation manuals to ensure accurate setup.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, and test all installed equipment to confirm safe and optimal operation.
• Represent Impact professionally on job sites, maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer interaction.
• Support team members with assembly, mounting, and other tasks to ensure efficient project completion.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times, following company and OSHA safety standards.
• Travel to multiple job sites within the region as required.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with equipment installation or construction.
• Comfort with basic electrical tasks (e.g., wiring control boxes); full electrical expertise not required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and installation documentation.
• Reliable transportation to access job sites across the region.
• Strong work ethic and a consistent track record of reliability and punctuality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow within the role.
• Must be able to climb and stand on ladders for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Skills Needed

• Mechanical installation experience in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools common to construction or equipment installation.
• Basic electrical knowledge (wiring, low-voltage connections) preferred.
• Experience operating equipment such as scissor lifts or skid steers is a plus.
• Welding experience is a plus.

Work Schedule

• Full-time shifts available between 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
