Loan Control Analyst (in-office) - Midvale, UT

The ideal candidate for the Loan Control Analyst will have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Be responsible for interpreting and reviewing loans to determine compliance with company credit policy and lending standard operating procedures.
  • Review loan for quality and identify error in policy and procedures.
  • Make recommendations for corrections and remediation of loan errors under either bank or lending standards based on reviews.
  • Review and screen loan files for compliance issues.
  • Prepare and analyze loan packages with respect to program guidelines and perform applicable due diligence to assure compliance.
  • Recommend procedures to maintain quality control aspects of lending practices.
  • Monitor and follow up on collateral documentation.
  • Review files subject to audits and remediate exceptions prior to audits.
  • Track and maintain audit exception reports.
  • Perform post-closing audit and review of loan files to assure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Train lending staff as needed on processes and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, business or a related field and 4+ years of experience with lending, familiarity with credit/compliance policies and procedures, loan analysis or other directly related experience.
  • Banking or Finance experience a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of lending, loan documentation, credit policies, lending regulations, requirements and audit/review procedures.
  • Must have strong analysis, problem solving and auditing skills.
  • Requires strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with lending staff to resolve review issues.
  • Strong customer relations and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Solid working knowledge of PC software to include Microsoft Office or similar software.
