Job Summary

Duties

• Safely operate a variety of commercial flatbed truck.
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
• Follow planned delivery routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure optimal performance and safety; report any issues immediately.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch to confirm delivery schedules, update progress, and address any route or delivery concerns.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts.
• Assist with warehouse duties when needed, including loading freight onto trucks and verifying shipment accuracy.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver with knowledge of route driving and freight handling.
• Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment; forklift certification is a plus.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to commercial driving and freight handling.
