Responsibilities

• Safely operate dump trucks for local deliveries and pickups
• Load and unload aggregate efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
• Follow designated routes for delivery and pickup schedules, maintaining punctuality and professionalism
• Manage documentation related to deliveries, shipments, and vehicle logs accurately and promptly
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery times and address any issues during route driving
• Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of trucks to uphold safety standards

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks
• Proven truck driving experience with a focus on freight delivery within local routes
• Familiarity with dump trucks
• Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment such as forklifts or hand tools when necessary
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols for commercial driving
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to punctuality and safety standards
