Local CDL Class A Truck Driver

Overview
We are seeking a professional Commercial Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and trailers, and refrigerated trailers. This role requires a strong focus on safety, route efficiency, and timely delivery of freight across designated routes. Candidates with experience in truck driving, load & unload operations, and route driving are highly preferred. A valid commercial driver’s license with relevant endorsements is essential to ensure compliance with transportation regulations. We offer long haul opportunities (home on the weekends) as well as local regional routes that will keep you home daily.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers.
• Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Manage delivery schedules by following assigned routes and ensuring timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and vehicle maintenance reports.
• Follow all federal and state transportation regulations including hours of service rules.
• Assist with securing loads using appropriate equipment
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with relevant endorsements such as manual transmission experience
• Proven experience in truck driving, including freight delivery, route driving, or similar roles such as delivery driver experience.
• Ability to operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation laws.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks associated with freight handling and vehicle operation.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role offers an opportunity for experienced drivers to contribute to efficient logistics operations while maintaining the highest safety standards in the industry.

Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 per week
