Local Purchaser/Buyer

We are seeking an experienced local Purchaser to join our team in Doha. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in buying/purchasing, particularly within the heavy equipment, plant, and machinery industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective purchases. The ideal candidate must hold a valid Qatar driving license and be well-versed in procurement processes, supplier negotiations, and market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet the company’s requirements for quality, price, and delivery.
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including order placement, tracking, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Negotiate with suppliers for the best terms and conditions
• Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory levels
• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and evaluate performance
• Use the company vehicle for local procurement trips and supplier visits as necessary.

Requirements:

• Proven 3 to 5 years’ experience in procurement within the heavy equipment or related industries
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management
• Based in Qatar with a valid QID and available to join immediately

Pay: QAR4,500.00 - QAR5,000.00 per month
