We are seeking an experienced local Purchaser to join our team in Doha. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in buying/purchasing, particularly within the heavy equipment, plant, and machinery industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective purchases. The ideal candidate must hold a valid Qatar driving license and be well-versed in procurement processes, supplier negotiations, and market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet the company’s requirements for quality, price, and delivery.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including order placement, tracking, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Negotiate with suppliers for the best terms and conditions
- Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory levels
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and evaluate performance
- Use the company vehicle for local procurement trips and supplier visits as necessary.
Requirements:
- Proven 3 to 5 years’ experience in procurement within the heavy equipment or related industries
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management
- Based in Qatar with a valid QID and available to join immediately
Pay: QAR4,500.00 - QAR5,000.00 per month
