Local Sales Engineer – Fire Fighting Materials & Fire Pumps

Job Summary

We are a manufacturing company specializing in fire fighting materials and fire pumps. We are seeking a motivated and technically knowledgeable Local Sales Engineer to promote and sell our products within the assigned territory.

The ideal candidate will focus on product sales, dealer development, and market expansion, building strong relationships with distributors, retailers, contractors, and end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell company products including:
  • Fire pumps (diesel, electric, jockey)
  • Valves and fittings
  • Hydrant
  • Sprinklers
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Other fire fighting materials
  • Develop and manage dealer and distributor networks
  • Identify new customers and expand market coverage
  • Conduct regular market visits and customer meetings
  • Provide product knowledge and technical support to clients
  • Prepare quotations and follow up on inquiries
  • Negotiate prices and close sales orders
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
  • Monitor competitor pricing and market trends
  • Coordinate with production and logistics for timely delivery
  • Follow up on payments and maintain strong customer relationships

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in fire fighting materials or pump sales
  • Good knowledge of fire protection products and standards
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to understand product specifications
  • Valid driver’s license (for field sales role)
  • Proficiency in MS Office
