Logistic Operation Road Safety Specialist

Overview


  • Plan, coordinate and implement defensive driving training (Smith System)
  • Provide support to site managers & directly influences the behavior, performance and knowledge base of drivers
  • Communication of logistics advisory safety management



Key Responsibilities


1-Health & Safety:

  • Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.


2-Functional:


  • Assess new applicant drivers before commencing work Participate in internal RT audits
  • Assist Road transport & site responsible in implementing pre start check.
  • Assist site managers in preparation of roads & sites risk assessments and inspection process
  • Participate in RT incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis
  • Identify driver's strengths and weaknesses and provide personalized, practical solutions to various driving deficiencies or disadvantages
  • Conduct TBT for working at height road black spots, near miss, journey plan, journey management & fatigue management
  • Perform driver feedback program
  • Generate driver violation report
  • Review driver performance dashboard
  • Perform driver drug test
  • Log all driver drug test results
  • Prepare black list for positive drug test result
  • Accountable for the iVMS devices to monitor the road safety rest hours.
  • Assure the driver rest hours is complying with RS standards
  • Report any deviation with reference to RS rest hours.
  • Log all trucks activities in logistics utilization sheet
  • Control the fatigue management of the drivers and assure driver is having 8 hrs/day as a rest time
  • Assure driver is complying with 6/1 fatigue policy
  • Report any system failure regarding the tracking application


Qualifications & Experience


Education:

  • Ability to train, conduct TBT for road transport safety requirements.



Technical Ski lls:

  • Valid driving license Class A
  • Computer literate.
  • Certified Smith System trainer



Experience:

  • At least 5-7 years as a driver
