Logistics Assistant

Responsible for the vital logistics coordination of a commercial trucking fleet, primarily focused on optimizing efficiency, ensuring compliance, and maximizing profitability. Key duties include sourcing and negotiating profitable freight loads using industry software, developing optimal routes while strictly adhering to DOT/FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) regulations, and managing real-time communication with drivers to provide instruction and resolve any operational issues like delays or breakdowns. The role requires strong geographical knowledge, negotiation skills, proficiency with ELD/TMS systems, and a commitment to maintaining excellent relationships with brokers, shippers, and drivers to ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods across North America.
