Logistics Job Description:
1. Extracting the stock reports from system and checking the stock situation as per
monthly schedule
2. Sending stock order inquiries to supplier
3. Checking the quotations from suppliers, making comparisons and negotiate
wherever necessary
4. Confirming the orders with suppliers
5. Updating the pending orders in system
6. Keeping a track of orders/delivery time and follow on time for deliveries
7. Checking the sea freight/air freight/courier options with forwarders and negotiate
and arrange the shipments
8. Follow with forwarders for shipment until it delivers to the warehouse
9. Coordinating with clearing agent and provide necessary documents for clearance
of sea freight and air freight shipments
10. Updating the system once orders delivered to the warehouse.
11. Sending special sales persons inquiries to suppliers and provide the item cost, air
freight/ courier cost and delivery times to sales team
12. Filling all order papers/ custom documents properly once orders completed and
delivered
