Role Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant Manager to oversee our end-to-end e-commerce logistics operations. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless customer experience for both D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) and B2C (Business-to-Consumer) channels, managing key operational metrics, and optimizing supply chain efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in the e-commerce logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment & Tracking: Coordinate and manage the entire order lifecycle, from processing to timely delivery, ensuring high dispatch accuracy and efficiency.
- Carrier Management & SLAs: Monitor and manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers and carriers, ensuring strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and negotiating contracts for cost-effectiveness.
- RTO & NDR Management: Develop and implement strategies to minimize Return to Origin (RTO) rates and effectively manage Non-Delivery Reports (NDR), coordinating proactive actions with carriers and customer service teams.
- Financial Reconciliations: Conduct thorough reconciliation of logistics bills and Cash on Delivery (COD) transactions, working closely with the finance department to ensure accurate record-keeping and timely payments.
- Inventory & Warehouse Coordination: Liaise with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure accurate stock levels, smooth inbound/outbound operations, and efficient storage practices.
- Process Improvement: Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate logistics records, MIS reports, and shipping documents for audits and management review.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in logistics operations, with significant exposure to E-commerce (D2C & B2C) environments.
- E-commerce Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and logistics software (WMS, TMS, ERP systems) is a must.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivots, lookups) and data analysis tools.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve shipment issues and operational challenges effectively.
- Communication: Excellent communication and vendor management skills to coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to handle complex reconciliations and documentation accurately.
